The goal of this project was to find a solution for the dizzying, marketing-ridden journey of finding an appropriate bank for a mortgage. There is no tool currently on the market that allows one to see the offers for a specific amount from multiple banks at once, the user having to collect a quote from each of them individually, sometimes in person, and then compare them on their own.

 

Following a rigorous research period, with the proposed solution the user can input the desired parameters and be shown a list of non-biased metrics for each type of loan. They can further get an in-depth view of the proposed contract and make an appointment with the bank to seal the deal. As navigating the jargon of such instances can be confusing, to make sure the user makes an informed decision, a dictionary of financial jargon is integrated in the app, appearing both as a separate entity, and as expandable highlights on certain terms.
